EAST 30TH
A very busy and lovely couple along with their two kids set out to remodel their new apartment which used to be two separate units that were previously combined. Their objective besides optimizing the layout to their needs, was to reflect their minimalist and no frills style in the living/dining area and Master bedroom and still be comfortable and warm for their family.
The furniture selection needed to marry their choice of a barn style door for their walking closet and light fixtures that gave out a more industrial look with the mid-century style architecture of the building. To accomplish this all the furniture chosen had to have a very distinct form and boldness combined with upholster pieces to soften the lines of the space.
The organic pattern of the rug gave the space a splash of color anchored by the beautiful blue color arm chair and dinning room art.
The resulting space is a fresh and bold family home.
