Hi there, glad to have you over!

I am Sandra, an Interior Designer, and the heart and soul of Sandra Medina Design, an NYC-based company specializing in challenging spaces that need to reach maximum efficiency on a moderate budget without compromising your style.

Upon moving to NYC and as I was raising my little boy, I faced the challenge of creating a home of my own with all the limitations a rented NYC apartment entails. I put my Interior Design skills to work by creating a suitable space not only for my own but also eventually to help clients who needed their space to be spruced up or re-designed and needed to see their home in a new light.

I am intrigued by the transient mentality people have when furnishing and relating to their homes. I find it interesting because I grew up moving cities frequently and sometimes countries, and every time we set up our new place as if it were our forever home. On every move, my siblings and I drove our mom crazy complaining about all the packing and unpacking, furniture shuffling, closet organization, and optimization (Pre-Marie Kondo), at the end we were very appreciative because of all of it made every transition easier.

Over the years, I have seen how designing a well-curated home, regardless of owning or renting, sets you off to a good start. We will work together to give your home the attention it deserves.

There is only one thing you need to know; there will be a lot of furniture shuffling. But hey! Look at the bright side, moving furniture doesn’t cost you money!
